Design method of center support for machine operating in environment with large temperature difference

Abstract: A special heatenergy exchanging pump has to work in variable temperature field with large temperature difference of 90℃. Due to the temperature deformation of the material of the pump body, under the affecting of the temperature difference, the displacement in radial direction of the fastening legs (flanges) of the pump can reach 1mm. When the conventional concrete base is adopted to install the pump, very large pushpull force will occur in the support legs positions, which will make the boltup connection to be failure, and it will not be able to keep the install reference of the pump in original position. The design method of a metal support frame was put forward; and the simulation analysis of the design was carried out by using the finite element analysis software.
