The technical safety measures of air preheater repairing without outage of the primary air fan were discussed. The operation of air preheater automatic airleakage control system of the 2×670MW unit in Huadian Weifang Power Generation Corporation Limited project phase II was introduced. Aiming at the problems exposed since it has been put into operation, the automatic airleakage control system had been improved; the air damper compulsively lifting function under the condition of exceed air preheater current was added; the protection signals of maximum distortion and complete reset were doubled redundantly. The reliability of the automatic airleakage control system was enhanced; the air leakage rate was reduced; and the better economical benefit was obtained.

Some problems, which are existed in design and construction of condenser vacuum measurement sampling, were introduced. Taking the vacuum measurement of 600MW unit of Sichuan Guang’an Power Generation Corporation Limited as example, the feasibility of the multipoint converged sampling reformation scheme, the goal of which is to increase the measuring accuracy of the condenser vacuum, was demonstrated. After the scheme had been implemented, the measurement accuracy of the condenser vacuum was increased, which provides certain convenience for the unit operators to adjust the unit efficiency; and favorable effect was obtained.

The condenser terminal difference of unit No.2 in Xinjiang Huadian Hongyanchi Power Plant Corporation Limited was increased along with the service age. In this paper the reasons of the condenser terminal difference rising were analyzed, and the treatment measures using acid cleaning and metallicmembrane plating were put forward. The sediments inside the condenser were removed thoroughly, the terminal difference was lower, therefore the unit efficiency was improved, and the generating cost reduced.

Since the unit No.2 of a power plant was put into production, the vacuum of its condenser was lower at all time. It was found out by complete inspection for the shaft gland that the steam admission and steam return system of the low pressure shaft gland of the bearing shell No.4 and No.6 were connected inversely. After the tubes reconnected conversely, the vacuum of the condenser was reached the designed value; the coal consumption was reduced, and remarkable economical benefit was obtained.

The development and application of the PSVR100 excitation regulator were introduced. In the PSVR100 regulator, the 32 bits dual core processor MPC8247 and the field programmable gate array (FPGA) are adopted to constitute the hardware framework which can satisfy the requirements of excitation control in high computation speed and high reliability of the regulator; the embedded realtime operation system VxWorks was introduced which can ensure the instantaneity of the excitation control, simplify the development process of the excitation application software and increase the software transportability; the graphical programming method was adopted which can provide certain convenience for software modification during engineering application process; the channel redundance, the sample redundance, the multiple realtime selfchecking and other technologies were adopted to enhance the reliability of the excitation regulator. The successful application of the regulator in selfshunt excitation system and threemachine excitation system (the threemachine brushless system is included.) shows that PSVR100 excitation regulator has excellent control indicators and higher reliability.

In Guodian Shandong Shiheng Power Plant, the quality of the coal as fired deviates from design value greatly, and which influences on the unit output and the stability of the primary air fan. When the hydrogen is used as the cooling medium of the generator, the control of the hydrogen purity is very important. There are many factors influencing on the generator hydrogen purity, and the sealing oil has largest relevancy with hydrogen purity control. Some indexes, such as the flow and temperature of the sealing oil, the vacuum degree and the dewpoint temperature of hydrogen, were analyzed; the relation between sealing oil and hydrogen purity was expounded. A special heatenergy exchanging pump has to work in variable temperature field with large temperature difference of 90℃. Due to the temperature deformation of the material of the pump body, under the affecting of the temperature difference, the displacement in radial direction of the fastening legs (flanges) of the pump can reach 1mm. When the conventional concrete base is adopted to install the pump, very large pushpull force will occur in the support legs positions, which will make the boltup connection to be failure, and it will not be able to keep the install reference of the pump in original position. The design method of a metal support frame was put forward; and the simulation analysis of the design was carried out by using the finite element analysis software.

The EH oil pressure of a new domestic 330MW unit became lower. Some possible reasons, such as the insufficient output of the oil feed pump, the leakage of the energy accumulator, the leakage of the overflow valve in outlet of the oil pump, the internal leakage of the regeneration device, the internal leakage of the main stop valve and the regulating valve and the incomplete close of the AST electromagnetic valve, were excluded one by one. At last, it was found that in the inlet thin tube of the OPC electromagnetic valve, one designed orifice was not installed, and this is the real reason of the lower oil pressure.

In recent years, it was frequently found that the mass fraction of sulfur in the fuel coal of many power plants exceeded the design value. In Hubei Huadian Huangshi Power Generation Company Limited, an experiment of adding synergistic agent into the desulphurization facilities had been done, and the result shows that after the synergistic agent was added, the operation of the desulphurization facilities is safe and stable, the desulphurization efficiency is enhanced obviously, and the emission of the flue gas satisfies relevant standard. In addition, one or two slurry circulating pumps can be stopped in system operation, which brings better energysaving result.

Some faults of the watercooling system occurred in 1.5MW series wind driven generator set with higher frequency feedback and great influence, such as the electric heater burning out, the system pressure alarming, the aerocyst cracking and the abnormal electric control logic and others, were analyzed. These faults were analyzed; and according to the analysis result, several suggestions, such as to update the delivered manual of the watercooling system, to optimize the equipment subassemblies, to perfect the electrical control program of the master control system and others, were put forward, which provides certain reference for design optimization and daily maintenance of the watercooling system.
