Matching optimization of between air separation unit and gas turbine in IGCC system

Abstract: The model of integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) was established by ThermoFlex software. The influences of air separation unit integrated coefficient (Xas) and nitrogen reinjection coefficient (Xgn) on the system performance were studied in detail under the different ASU pressures. The results show that the net efficiency of IGCC system increases as the increase of Xas at the high ASU pressure, but the net efficiency decreases as the increase of Xas at the low ASU pressure. Low ASU pressure is not suitable at Xas=0. As Xgn increasing, the net efficiency of IGCC system increases firstly and then decreases both at the high and low ASU pressure. The gas turbine emissions requirement on NOx can be satisfied when the low Xgn and ASU pressure are applied.
