Tridimensional nonlinear finiteelement analysis on diversion tunnel of Lizhou Hydropower Station

Abstract: The structure of the diversion tunnel, which is a typical underground engineering, is complex; and the geology condition of the tunnel is various. Therefore, it is cannot reflect the combined force characteristics of the lining structure and the surrounding rock completely by means of the traditional structure calculation method. Taking the diversion tunnel of the Lizhou Hydropower Station as example, using the finiteelement numerical simulation method, the stability of the tunnel surrounding rock and the force characteristics of the structure were researched. The problems existing in traditional algorism were solved well. The method of this paper can be used as reference for calculation of similar projects.

