Analysis on reasons of sealing oil pressure dropping in air side of generator and countermeasures

Abstract

Abstract: In operation of the double ring sealing oil system of hydrogen cooled generator in Hubei Huadian Xiangyang Power Generation Company Limited, the sealing oil pressure in air side of excitation end dropped obviously, and the hydrogen leakage exceeded standard seriously. According to technical analysis and operation adjustment, the hydrogen sealing mode of excitation end was changed from double ring sealing into single ring sealing. The hydrogen leakage and the hydrogen purity were controlled in limits allowed by relevant regulations. The result in this paper provides reference for similar unit operation.
