    Vibration fault diagnosis of turbine based on wavelet analysis

    Fault diagnosis of turbogenerator was investigated based on wavelet transform. The theories of Fourier transform and wavelet analysis were introduced. The advantages of wavelet transform in locating of vibration signal composition were discussed comparing with the Fourier analysis and verified by simulation signal. By using db7 wavelet, the signal was be resolved into 6 layers, and the accurate position of discontinuity was appeared clearly in the detail of resolved signal. The analysis result shows that if the characteristics of turbine vibration fault signal are clearly known, then the wavelet analysis can be used effectively in turbine fault diagnosis.

    The working principle of water circulating pumps, which had been twospeed reformed and operate in parallel mode, was theoretically analyzed. Combining with the performance test of the twospeed water circulating pumps in parallel operation, by using the minimum annual operation expenses method, the economical efficiencies of three parallel operation schemes were compared, providing a foundation for energysaving operation of water circulating pumps.

    The operating principle of plate exchanger was introduced. The microdistortion characteristic of the heat exchange plate was analyzed which was ignored easily. The microdistortion means that the pressure variation on one side of exchanger will influence the shape of the heat exchange plate, and which causes the volume inside the exchanger between the both side to vary and the pressure on another side of the exchanger to fluctuate. The practical example of microdistortion was discussed, and relevant handling measure was given.

    The slag chunks were formed and fell off frequently in the boiler of 1000MW unit of Zouxian Power Plant of Huadian Power International Corporation Limited, and these caused some accidents such as the emergency door of the slagoff machine was opened by bulge force, the water seal of boiler was lost, etc. After reducing load at night, the sound had be often listened which was caused by big slag chunks falling, and obvious vibration can be felt in central control room, and the safety and stable operation of the unit had been influenced seriously. Combining with practical situation, the slagging reasons of the 1000MW boiler were analyzed, and concrete preventing measures were proposed.

    There are some shortcomings in application of ultrasonic probe with single crystal chip, large refraction angle and short cutting edge in welding fault detection for tubes with minor diameter and thin wall (4~8mm) such as the incorrect positioning, the difficulty to determine on the nature of the defect and the lower defect resolution. These problems were analyzed and researched, and relevant measures were formulated. So the welding fault defecting method for tubes with minor diameter and thin wall become more accurate, the escaping from detection or wrong decision were avoided, and the practical application effect was remarkable.

    The CS pipes of cooling water system of coastal power plant are installed in flowing sea water and mainly suffer the impingement corrosion, the galvanic corrosion and the crevice corrosion. The corrosion of CS pipes is affected by the velocity of flow, the degree of turbulence and the sediment concentration of the sea water. Aiming at the major factors of the pipe corrosion, some protection measures, such as the rational arrangement of the pipeline, the inside rubber coat and cathode protection, would effectively prevent corrosion of the pipes, ensure the safety operation of the power plant, eliminate the accident potential and reduce the operation cost.

    The singlephase earth fault occurred in operation of 500kV main transformer in a pumped storage power station. By inspection of the inner parts of the transformer and analysis, it is found that a discharge fault in long oil gaps between the grading ring in oil of highvoltage bushing and the yoke was occurred. Through repairing and treatment, the discharge fault of the transformer had been eliminated basically.

    There was welding seam leakage fault in No.1 unit main transformer Cphase oil reservoir of Inner Mongolia Huadian Baotou Power Generation Corporation Limited. When No.1 unit was overhauled, the gas cutting and repair welding with oil filled for the oil reservoir had been carried out, and the process was introduced in this paper. Because of the field treatment with oil filled, the tedious work of the oil discharging, the cover hanging and others were avoided, and the high cost for returning the main transformer to the manufacturer to repair was eliminated, and the repair period also was shortened.

It will need a lot of funds and longer construction period to replace all existing motor comprehensive devices. The maloperation reasons of motor comprehensive protection devices were investigated and analyzed, and relevant improvement methods were put forward. The measures, such as replacing few elements and adjustment the protection characteristics of the devices, were adopted, the problem of protection device maloperation was solved fundamentally and replacing the protection devices was not needed.

    The automatic reclosing technology is an effective measure to guarantee the safety power supply and stable operation of power system, and has been widely used in electric power system domestic and abroad. A reclosing incorrect operation accident occurred in a 500kV line of Central China Power Grid was introduced, in which the reclosing device of one side of the line had reclosed successfully, but the reclosing device of other side of the line had operated incorrectly and the breaker tripped three times. Through the investigation and analysis of this accident, it is shown that for trying transmission of new line or the line in which the protection system was reformed, in order to inspect the correctness of unit functions and circuit coordination, the prior complete set test of protection devices must follow the mode of simulating same step action of two sets of protection devices, so as to avoid the emergence of such accident or other faults.
