    According to the major indicators data of Huadian Baotou Generation Corporation Limited at the first half of 2008 and the same period of last year, the variation reasons of various indicators, which includes generated electricity, house service consumption rate, comprehensive house service consumption rate, gross coal consumption, net coal consumption, comprehensive net coal consumption, utilized hours, oil consumption and others, were analyzed, and the measures adopted were described. The midyear summary of various indicators accomplishment case in Benchmarking Management Year was provided which is useful for better work of the left half year to accomplish annual indicators, and the operation indicators will raise with the process of comparing to advanced, checking error and correcting malpractice and continuous improvement.

    As an oilsaving measure in benchmarking management activity, the technical reformation of the burner of boiler No.2 in Hubei Xisaishan Generation Corporation Limited was introduced, in which the gasified small oil gun ignition technology and combustion stabilizing device were used. According to the pulverized coal burning theory, combining with coal quality fired in the plant practically, the original, louvered, horizontal and concentrateddiluted burners in corners No.1~No.4 were removed and replaced by tinyoil ignition pulverizedcoal burners. The operation practice after reformation shows that the new ignition system can ignite pulverized coal reliably and can keep stable combustion, and then the obvious oilsaving effect was obtained.

    The fuel management information system of Huadian Zibo Thermal Power Corporation Limited was introduced in detail. The sample pick, sample preparation and chemical examination management subsystem is used to collect the realtime data of coal, in which the two time code mode is used to avoid the influence of subjective factors. According to the information of coal receiving, coal consumption, coal stock and others, the system creates analysis trend graph to show the results of coalsaving brightly. The system is also used to optimize the coal blending. The information of coal stock, coal blending and coal consumption were collected, traced and saved, the typical coal blending experiment was completed. By using the data of energy consumption analysis subsystem and the sample pick, sample preparation and chemical examination management subsystem, online industrial experiment of coal blending was down. The combustion optimization was combined with coal receiving, coal stock and coal blending processes. The system can provide the full procedure information of fuel for production management parts to work out optimum digital coal blending model dynamically. Based on that abovementioned, good result of fuel management was obtained.

    The factors influencing on consumption of acid and alkali for ion exchange resin regeneration were analyzed. The reasons of high acid and alkali consumption in Fularji General Power Plant and relevant countermeasures were expounded in detail. In order to prevent and decrease the pollution of ion exchange resin, a new resin cleaning method was proposed which integrates the traditional chemical medicament cleaning and ultrasonic cleaning technology. The working exchanging capacity of ion exchange resin was raised and the consumption of acid and alkali was reduced by using the new cleaning method.

    A turbine vibration faults diagnosis method by using Gaussian Mixture Models was proposed. The original turbine vibration faults signal is decomposed and reconstructed by wavelet packet analysis method, which act as a filter. Then the character of the vibration signal is picked up and used to set up the GMM. For each fault situation, taking its several set of the fault data as training data, an identifying cell for this fault situation is created. The maximum likelihood estimation of parameter of identifying cell is solved with EM algorithm. At last, the unidentified data is input to every identifying cell, and the maximum probability cell is found out, and the fault of this cell is the last diagnosis result.

    In the original design of failure automatic transfer device for standby auxiliary power source in Meizhouwan Power Plant, the transfer was realized by the auxiliary connects of working power source switch which connected to the closing circuit of standby power source. The auxiliary loads outage faults were occurred repeatedly during automatic transfer process due to the long transfer time of the auxiliary power source. The features of auxiliary power supply transfer circuit of Meizhouwan Power Plant were introduced. The experience of transfer circuit technical reformation, which was realized by adding ABB SUE3000 fast transfer device, was analyzed and summarized. The experiment and transfer waveform after reformation show that the auxiliary power supply transfer speed increased remarkably after reformation.

For the single compensation device, the power factor was reached optimum effect by using the optimized control theory.
