Discussion on the Theory and Practice of Pool Purchase Price (PPP) Mechanism

Abstract

Abstract: This paper briefly describes the theory and pricing methods of Pool Purchase Price (PPP) mainly adopted, and summaries China PPP management mechanism reform since 1985. The detailed analysis on China′s current PPP mechanism, combined with theory and practical situation, was made, and finally given the conclusions as following: The current unique system electricity price mechanism is not suitable for the dispatching requirements of energy saving, while double-part electricity price mechanism with certain assistance service compensations has more advantages.
