    Experimental analysis on blended burning of multiple kinds of coal in 630MW supercritical boiler

    In the 630MW supercritical boiler of a power plant, the multiple kinds of coal produced in Indonesia, Guizhou Province of China, Columbia, Australia and South Africa were blended and burned. The features of the blended burning of multiple coal grades were analyzed. The ratio of each kind coal in the coal as fired and the blending mode were expounded, and the matters needing attention in blending of multiple kinds of coal were pointed out. The experience of the plant in blended burning of multiple kinds of coal can be used as reference for similar power plants.

    There are some problems existing in operation of ultra supercritical unit, which include that the cleanness of watersteam is poor, the scaling speed is higher, the pressure difference of the boiler increases faster and others. The factors influencing on corrosion and scaling of the unit were analyzed. The operation condition of chemical water system was optimized with certain aim. The unit feed water treatment mode had been changed from the reducing fullvolatile treatment mode with adding ammonia and hydrazine to the oxidizing fullvolatile treatment mode with adding only ammonia, which can eliminate some negative influences partly and is helpful for safe and economical operation of the unit.

    The model of integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) was established by ThermoFlex software. The influences of air separation unit integrated coefficient (Xas) and nitrogen reinjection coefficient (Xgn) on the system performance were studied in detail under the different ASU pressures. The results show that the net efficiency of IGCC system increases as the increase of Xas at the high ASU pressure, but the net efficiency decreases as the increase of Xas at the low ASU pressure. Low ASU pressure is not suitable at Xas=0. As Xgn increasing, the net efficiency of IGCC system increases firstly and then decreases both at the high and low ASU pressure. The gas turbine emissions requirement on NOx can be satisfied when the low Xgn and ASU pressure are applied.

    The water filtering equipments are important part of pumping station in coastal nuclear power plants and fossil fuel power plants, which relate to the safe operation of the boost pump, the conventional island turbine condenser and the nuclear island heat exchangers. The water filtering equipments of pumping station include the coarse and fine grilles, the grille cleaner, the frame filtering screen, the rotating drum filtering screen and others. These equipments can be selected according to the comprehensive analysis of the materials about the water consumption, the tidal level, the sediment concentration, the tree branches and weeds, the all kinds of suspended matter and the marine organisms and referring to the operation of similar coastal power plants. The rotating drum filtering screen was researched and discussed emphatically; the domestic and foreign water filtering equipments were analyzed and compared; and the design key points of water filtering equipments of pumping station of the coastal power plants were summarized.

    The paper introduces aircooled drytype deslagging system applied more in large size power plant boiler in recent years. Comparative tests on drytype and wettype deslagging system were done. By contrasting boiler exhaust gas temperature, combustible ash content and boiler efficiency, the effect of drytype deslagging system on boiler is given, and this provides a reference for deslagging system choice in large unit.

    The gassteam combined cycle cooling heating and power supply system (CCHP) has higher energy utilization and is used widely. However, there is not universal objective definition of the efficiency for CCHP plant at present. A concept of second lawbased equivalent power generation efficiency for CCHP plant was proposed based on the second thermodynamic law, which can be used to evaluate the system efficiency of different grade energies. Combining with examples of several power plants, the differences between several efficiency definitions were compared. The results can be used as reference for design and technical improvement of CCHP plant.

    In order to reduce the house service consumption rate of a power plant and to increase the reliability of the coal mill, combining with the experiences of other power plants, the operation of the coal mill was analyzed; and the influences of the optimal steel ball amount loaded in coal mill on the pulverizing system of the unit were expounded. By adjustment of the steel ball amount loaded in the coal mill, the power consumption of the unit was reduced, and the economical efficiency of the unit operation was improved.

    The processes of unit startingup and the high and medium pressure rotors bending accident were introduced. The vibration was measured on the site. The reasons of the bending accident of high and medium pressure rotors of turbine No.14 in a power generation company were analyzed. According to the preliminary judgment, the reasons of the bending accident of high and medium pressure rotors are that the mechanical properties of the high and medium pressure rotors are unstable, the local dynamic/static clearance is decreased due to long term operation of the unit, the control of the steam temperature and pressure in the steam sealing system is irrational, the rolling decision after tripping is incorrect, that is to roll the turbine as soon as the turbine shut down and do not turn the turbine sufficiently to release the bending caused by the heat stress, which is against the rule of the file ‘25 Key Requirements to Prevent Serious Accident in Power Production’, and so on.

    The factors influencing on slagging of power station boiler were analyzed. The indexes for judging the slagging tendency of boiler were determined. The platform of forecasting and judging system was designed. Using the platform, various indexes and algorisms were studied and compared. Combining the fuzzy mathematics with the BP network, the judging model of fuzzy neural network was established. Using the judging model, the slagging of the asfired coal grade of the units in Shanxi Datang International Yungang Thermal Power Company Limited was forecasted, and favorable effects were obtained.

    The quality indexes of the Huaibeiproduced long flame coal and the quality indexes of the coal commonly used in power plants are almost the same; and the Huaibeiproduced long flame coal has good combustion economic efficiency. However, in practical use, if the Huaibei long flame coal is blended by too large ratio, then the explosion accident of the mill may happen easily. The pulverizing characteristics of the coal, the particle size distribution of the blended pulverized coal, the particle size segregation of the blended pulverized coal and the exhalation characteristics of the volatile matter of the Huaibei long flame coal were researched; and comparing with commonly used coal, it was found that the Huaibei long flame coal has not exclusive obvious explosion fatalness. According to the heat balance calculation and analysis of the mill, it was obtained that the basic reason of the higher explosion fatalness of the long flame coal is its lower water content, which causes the recirculating air of the mill to increase. Combining with the lower CO exhalation temperature of the coal and the fineness segregation of the blended coal powder and other factors, at the initial stage of mixed process of recirculating air and hightemperature air, more fine particles of pulverized Lulingproduced coal may enter into local hightemperature zone, and large amount of CO will exhale; so the explosion probability of the mill will increase. Two methods were proposed: one of them is to reduce the ratio of the long flame coal in blended coal, the other is to open the cold air gate of the mill; and practice shows that the two methods are effective.

    Aiming at the performance and characteristics of the boilers of the Harbin Third Power Plant of Huadian Energy Company Limited, the problem of lignite blended burning process in 200MW unit was studied. To improve the economic efficiency of the unit is taken as first purpose. According to the load of the unit and the supplied coal in different time segments of every day, the lignite blending principle was determined. Based on this, the lignite blending technology was improved; the feasibility of lignite blending in maximum ratio for the unit was discussed; and the economic efficiency of lignite blended burning was analyzed. Then the latent capacity of economic operation was excavated in largest possible, and energysaving and benefit increasing were realized truly.

    In the operation of generator set No.12 of Panzhihua Branch of Huadian Sichuan Power Generation Corporation Limited, the temperature of the six positive pole electric brushes of the rotor rises alternately, and the maximum temperature of individual brush rises up to 300℃. It was confirmed by analysis that the reason of the temperature rise of the electric brush is the blockage of the small holes ducts on the slip ring by deposition. The treatment method of temperature rise of electric brushes of generator in operation was given. Aiming at unit overhaul process, some concrete requirements of the maintenance quality of the rotor slip ring and accessory devices and acceptance inspection were given, which is helpful for ensuring safe operation of the unit.

    In the switch over process of the service power supply in unit No.11of the Panzhihua Branch of Huadian Sichuan Power Generation Company Limited ,the voltage of 400V I B segment was failed, the butterfly valve of the operation vacuum pump B could not linked, and the standby vacuum pump A could not linked startup, which caused the lower vacuum tripping of the unit. The reasons of the faults were analyzed, and it was determined that the main reason of the unit lower vacuum tripping is irrational design of the control loop of vacuum pump. A series of technical improvement measures were adopted, and the operation reliability and safety of the unit were increased effectively.

    The excessive current of the booster pump of the YNKn300-200-20Y/J turbinedriven feed pump in Yunfu Power Plant was analyzed, and the possible reasons were inspected one by one. It was found that the erosive wear of the sealing surface of the pump case and the sealing surface of the pump end cover causes larger leakage, and the larger leakage leads excessive current of the motor. The spray coating treatment was adopted for the sealing surfaces, and the current of the motor returned to normal value.

    In the boiler acid washing process, due to that the water quality in the case of boiler water recirculating pump does not satisfy the requirement; the cooling water in the shell of the motor is polluted easily; the filter screen for cooling water circulation is blocked and the cooling efficiency of the cooling water decreases. So, the temperature of the motor will rise rapidly, the boiler water pump will trip and the unit will shut down. Aiming at abovementioned problems, effective treatment and preventive measures were proposed, and the safety, the stability and the economic benefit of the unit were improved.

    In Baotou Power Generation Branch of Huadian Inner Mongolia Energy Company Limited, during public data calling process from the units No.1 and No.2, some blue points occurred on the picture, and the system response was slower. Based on field inspection and analysis of the problems existing in public communication network, some concrete measures were adopted, which include regulating the period and phase of the controller, deleting a part of useless configurations, reducing the data acquisition time of the plant level SIS from DCS, avoiding the units No.1 and No.2 to call public data at the same time and so on. The communication load of the public communication network was decreased effectively, which lays a good foundation for safe and stable operation of the units.

    In order to research the influence of the desulphurization additives on the wet limestonegypsum FGD system, the desulphurization additives experiment had been carried out in the 330MW unit of Hubei Huadian Xisaishan Power Generation Company Limited. The variations of some parameters, such as the contents of CaCO3,Cl- and CaSO3 in the slurry in absorption tower and the CaSO4 content and the water ration in the gypsum before and after the experiment were analyzed. The experiment result shows that by using the desulphurization additives, when the volume fraction of SO2 in flue gas in inlet of absorption tower is 0.7%, the SO2 removal efficiency increased from 92% to 95%, two slurry circulating pumps were shut down, the content of Cl- in absorption tower decreased, the utilization rate of the CaCO3 increased, the gypsum purity increased, and the water ratio of the gypsum was reduced.

    The investment estimation of a wind farm project is an important basis of the project investment decision. The precision of the investment estimation is the key factor which makes the investment decision to be right or bad. The major factors influencing on the investment were analyzed; an investment estimation model based on support vector machine (SVM) was established; and 13 important affecting parameters were determined finally. The model was simulated and verified by actual engineering data, and the simulation result shows that the forecast precision of the model is higher.
