The implementation of the reformation for vibration attenuation and capacity expansion of unit No.5 was expounded. The test and operation results of reformed unit No.5 of Hunanzheng Hydropower Station show that the reformation is very successful; and the technical data of the unit were reached expected value of the capacity expansion reformation.

By using the single factor variable method, the hydrogen peroxide passivation technology had been improved, in which the cupric sulfate spot test is used to detect the quality of the membrane caused by hydrogen peroxide passivation technology. The research result shows that the optimized recipe and craft are as below: the mass fraction of the hydrogen peroxide is 0.5%, the mass fraction of chelating agent X is 0.15%, the pH value of the passivation liquid is 9.6, the passivation temperature is 40℃, and the passivation time is 6 hours. The passivation craft can increase the whole corrosion resistance of the carbon steel greatly.
