Reason of high temperature corrosion of boiler water wall and countermeasures

Abstract

Abstract: In July 2008，during minor repairs of #1 boiler of Shengli Power Plant，high temperature corrosion of boiler water wall tubes in large size was found， and by inspection, total 129 tubes had been determined must be replaced due to that the thinning of tube wall was exceeded the limit. According to analysis of high temperature corrosion of #1 boiler water wall tubes, the reasons of high temperature corrosion were found, and the relevant prevention measures had been worked out. Then the hidden dangers for safe operation of the boiler were eliminated.
