Analysis on reasons of ‘fourtubes’ crack and leakage of 420 t/h boiler and preventive management

Abstract

Abstract: Taking the crack and leakage accident of a 425 t/h boiler in Henan Zhoukou Longda Power Generation Company Limited as an example, the reasons of crack and leakage were analyzed. From the view of management, some pertinent preventive measures were put forward. It was pointed out that the prevention of crack and leakage of the ‘fourtubes’ must be started from fountainhead, by supervision and management of the whole process, which includes design, manufacture, installation, operation and overhaul, to reduce the probability of the ‘fourtubes’ crack and leakage, lessen the unplanned outage and the economical losses, and ensure the unit safe and economical operation.
