Strategy for solving power flow problem of distribution network with distributed power sources

Abstract: The mathematic model of connection of distributed power sources into power grid was studied. Several familiar nodes of distributed power sources were divided into the PQ node, the PV node and the PQ(V) node. Based on this, depending upon the calculation function of MATLAB, using the principle of the forward/backward sweep algorithm, the power flow calculation of the distribution network with distributed power sources was carried out. The improved algorithm was adopted in the calculation. At last, the calculation speed and the convergence of the used algorithm were analyzed. The result shows that using the model and the algorithm, the power flow problem of distribution network with multiple distributed power sources can be solved quickly and conveniently.
