Comprehensive energysaving reformation of water cooling tower of 330MW unit

Abstract: Abstract:The operation situation of the circulating water system of the 330MW unit in a power plant was introduced. The factors influencing on the efficiency of the water cooling tower were analyzed. An energysaving reformation method was proposed, in which two water cooling towers will be used for one power unit. The scheme had been test in production site. In the test, one of the two units is operating alone, and the water cooling tower of other standby unit was used parallel with that of the operating unit. The test result shows that the cooling capacity of the water cooling tower of standby unit was used to increase the cooling area, and the efficiency of the operating unit was enhanced.
