Modeling for a 700MW heat and power plant using EBSILON software

Abstract: Abstract:The modeling process for a heat and power plant using EBSILON software developed in Germany was expounded. The basic structure and functions of EBSILON software were analyzed. Taking a 700MW heat and power plant in Germany as example, using its operation data under rated electric load and rated heat load, through the design calculation and the variable working condition calculation, the performance curve of the equipment was identified. The basic model of the thermodynamic cycle system of the power plant was established, and the advantages and practicability of the software, as a modern tool, were showed. It is observed from the modeling process and the result that more detail, complete power plant model, which accords with the practical characteristics of the power plant, can be established depended on collection of more operation data of the power plant, and the model can be used in optimization of design and operation of power plants.
