Development trend and prospect of hydrogen production by offshore wind power

Abstract: Hydrogen production from offshore wind power is a major innovation in the field of energy technology, which is expected to be a win-win solution for the development of offshore wind power and hydrogen energy. It is necessary to analyze its development trend and provide a feasible idea for future energy security. This paper investigates the development status of hydrogen production by offshore wind power at home and abroad, summarizes the feasible technical schemes for hydrogen production, storage, transmission and utilization by offshore wind power, and forecasts the prospect of hydrogen production by offshore wind power in combination with the development plans of international and domestic governments. Hydrogen production from wind power is expected to accelerate the further cost reduction of offshore wind power and smoothly enter the era of affordable access to the Internet. The combination of offshore wind power and hydrogen industry promotes the development of offshore wind power and green hydrogen industry, and helps to achieve the goal of carbon peak and carbon neutralization.
