    In order to realize the application of lumped parameter model of singlephase heat pipe in modern control engineering, a solution for the conversion between process control quantity and model input quantity is put forward. A complete set of lumped parameter models of singlephase heat pipe is established by mechanism analysis method, which conforms to the application in modern control engineering.It is compared with the distributed parameter models.The research results show that the improved lumped parameter models of singlephase heat pipe can be promoted in the application of modern control engineering. It can also provide a feasible and scientific method for model structure and model parameter range determination in heat exchanger process model identification engineering.

    To solve the inaccurate online measurement of primary air flow rate at a medium speed mill inlet in a 1000MW coal fired power plant, flow field test, uniform flow optimization and practical transformation are conducted.The research can be applied for uniform flow The technology of compact large-scale circular duct.The technology can improve the uniformity of velocity distribution at the  measurement cross section and eliminate local vortex regions and back flow regions by flow split, diversion, rectification and uniform.The accurate measurement on the primary air flow rate is achieved and the its coefficient deviation can be kept below 3%. The automatic control valve is put into practice and works well and steady.The total current of the primary air fan decreases by 50A, the coal consumption rate reduces by 0.14g/(kW·h), and the annual fuel cost declines by 498000 Yuan.

    Since the relatively dispersed layout of a winch hoists in a hydropower station, it is difficult to realize centralized control by  traditional control system. There are complex wiring and fault nodes on site, which leads to poor antiinterference ability. After the research on PLC and Ethernet bus communication technology, a winch hoist control system  for hydropower station is develped based on Ethernet communication technology. The technology  reduces the number of wires on site, improves the antiinterference ability of the system, realizes graded automatic control on gates, reduces the operating staff and increase the control distance, advances the humancomputer interaction performance, and improve the automation and stability of the system, which provides reference for the design of winch hoists for hydropower stations.

    In order to study the modal characteristics of gears, models of apair of common transmission gears are established by software GearTrax. A model of a pinion is imported into ANSYS for meshing and corresponding finite element models are obtained.Then,models of straight cylindrical gears in good condition and fault condition are established by ANSYS. A suitable modeling approach is taken to compare the first eighth order modals obtained by the two methods above.Compared with the modal frequencies of complete gear,themodal frequencies of the broken gears have certain changes.The conclusion provides a new way for the gear fault analysis in the future.

    Taking an abnormal alarm of TV for a 220kV main transformer protection as an example, it is found that excessive third harmonic is a cause for abnomal TV.Furthermore,when a harmonic elimination is equipped at the TV neutral point, it can produce voltage and third harmonics in the zero sequence opendelta connection, causing abnormal alarm of TV for  main transformer protection.Corresponding methods are put forward to ensure the safe and stable operation of the main equipment of substation.

    Combining the development status of power plants spot check and actual situation of a thermal power plant, taking the state parameters of generation equipment as research object, a mathematical model based on Gray Theory is established, which can be used for state parameters prediction and evaluation. By introducing mpoint factor, the improved Gray Model can make m point average process on volatile operating parameters sequences of generation equipment, which makes the original data meet the the smoothness requirements of Grey Model. The results show that the improved Gray Model can predict and evaluate the operation status of power plants more accurately and achieve the purpose of processing of spot check data.

    Universal digitalinput merging unit is an important device in smart substation. By receiving and merging digital message from electronic transformer, digital merging unit transfers sampling data to substation. At present, the interoperability between different electronic transformers and digital merging units is low , which affects the reliability of output data.The requirements of digital sampling in smart substation cannot be satisfied. Multiprotocol compatibility, outlier data detection and link state analysis are explored for digital merging unit and  the functions are implemented on a physical device. Basing on the experimental results, it shows that the exploration can increase intelligent level for substation by improving its compatibility for digital sampling system and reliability for digital sampling.

    In view of the abnormal increase of the coal consumption for electricity supply in a coalfired power plant, the causes and modification calculation for coal consumption are analyzed. Based on the historical data such as daily coal consumption, daily electric energy production, statistical tables of the unit and small index data of energy consumption of the unit, influence on power supply coal consumption is analyzed. At the same time, sampling, assay, measurement and statistical process correction are made for the monthly average coal consumption for power supply, and the interval range of the coal consumption correction is obtained. Comparing the monthly average energy consumption small index of 2 units with similiar working condition for the same period, influence on coal consumption brought by furnace and machine side are 6.26g/(kW·h) and 1.83g/(kW·h) roughly, and influence on coal consumption brought by sampling, testing, measurement and statistics is 4.10~4.80g/(kW·h). The reason for the abnormal increase of positive balance monthly average coal consumption for power supply is due to the small index data on machine side, errors in the calorific value measurement and statistical process of coal as fire. Related suggestions for the existing problems in the coal as fire are put forward, which ensures the accuracy of the coal sampling,sample preparing and testing.

    In order to obtain the investment and operating cost of fluorine plastic heat exchange system in coalfired power plants,its designs for 300MW and 600MW coalfired units with different arrangements and different flue gas cooling range are made, and the investment of the system are calculated. The effects of coal price, unit utilization hours and flue gas cooling range on the operating cost of fluorine plastic heat exchange system are studied systematically. Achievable goals on coal saving and water saving made by fluorine plastic heat exchange system is set.The optimal arrangement for different coalfired units must be made in accordance with their flue gas cooling ranges.Meanwhile, the conclusion that coal price,unit utilization hours and flue gas cooling range have a great impact on operating cost of fluorine plastic heat exchange system is made. Therefore, these factors should be considered in heat exchange system designing.The optimized flue gas cooling range and arrangement should be selected at the same time.

    Combining with the practical operation of a denitrification device in a 300MW unit, blockage in rectifying device, ammonia injection grid, catalyst and air preheater during the running of denitrification device and the corresponding causes are analyzed. It is proposed to optimize the structure and arrangement of the large ash filter, run steam soot blower regularly, adjust the frequency of the sonic soot blower, timely clean up the ash accumulated on steel beams and the deflectors on different layers of the selective catalytic reduction(SCR)denitration device,ensure the flow channels of catalyst and replace catalysts with severe ash deposit. These optimization measures can improve the security and stability of the SCR denitrification devices, which provides reference for prevention and control of the accumulation of ash in SCR denitrification devices of coalfired power plants.

    To address the large deviation of the exhaust gas temperature at outlets of two air preheater in a power plant, historical data of distributed control system(DCS) is retrieved and the online data is calibrated. Analysis on the deviation of gas temperature at outlets is made from flue gas side/air side flue gas temperature and air leakage rate. The reason for the deviation of the flue gas temperature on two sides is obtained, and a solution is proposed.

    There are great fluctuations on main steam pressure of thermal power units in coordinated control. A coordinated control strategy based on main steam pressure prediction is researched and applied to a 330MW unit. Based on data of the 330MW unit,parameters of the derived main steam pressure model is determined and the model is verified.Taking the main steam pressure model as prediction model, the trend of main steam pressure can be predicted based on current load instruction and combustion instruction. As the deviation between predictive main steam pressure and the current one is the energy of coal as fire in need,the deviation is employed to correct the energy of coal as fire taking coordinated control strategy, in order to overcome the inertia of furnaces and reduce main steam pressure fluctuations.The practical operation shows that the control strategy can decreases the fluctuation of main steam pressure and load.

    The safety of heating pipeline stress is a key issue in the heating pipe networks. Taking the immersed pipe crossing the Haihe River project of Huadian Tianjin Junliangcheng Power Generation Company Limited and Tianjin Chentangzhuang Thermal Power Company Limited as the example, the deflection, shear stress and bending stress of the metal pipes are checked. In order to solve the problem of deflection overrun, measures to bundle the float ball and add intermediate support points have been adopted to provide reference for the construction of the river crossing pipeline.

    In order to ensure accurate and reliable data transfer form belt scales for coal as fire to the distant programmable logic controller (PLC) of coal conveying control system, to deal with Quantum 67160 PLC for Ramsey Micro-TechTM2000 series weighing display controller and coal conveying control system, a communication network based on ModBus protocol under the RS485 standard is established. The hardware interface, communication protocol, communication requirements for communication network and the software programmed by XXMIT function module are described. The problem of data communication between the coal conveying PLC and the weighing display controller is solved. The remote monitoring on electronic belt scales for coal as fire is realized.
